When I was sad, I believed that Happiness was only for my neighbours
I looked at my past or my neighbours and wished if I could switch places
My thought processes stopped beyond that point of my life.
I started thinking bad, either bad for myself or for others...
Like some of you, that's when I started to believe that "To be Good, you need Happiness"
Furthermore, I only found smiling people helping others or only Happy people, doing Good.
In other words, I summarised myself, "Only Happy People Can Do Good".
But one day as I was walking with a bad mind, I happened to see an old woman on the road.
She was trying to cross a busy road that I normally cross in Chennai.
I was next to her but I had a bad mind that day so I did not offer to help. But then suddenly she looked at me with her weary eyes and held my hands. As if like a switched on machine, I caught her wrinkled hands without asking... and yes, I helped her cross that road.
Once the road was crossed, the old lady let her hands free from mine and moved on slowly like before in my opposite direction. Though she didn't thank me nor even look at me, I was suddenly happy. I felt happiness flowing to me from nowhere. That's when I started to think and iterate now...Doing Good is not only for Happy people and also that it makes people actually Happy:) So, anybody out there actually sad now or not happy now...try doing some obvious good and you shall experience the same feeling.
So all in a nutshell, I relearn and now and share with you-
TO BE GOOD, THINK GOOD AND JUST DO GOOD,
HAPPINESS SHALL FOLLOW YOU...
